We lived in Mason City and were good friends of Herb and Karen, and, of course, Dorothy. We know that the promises made in Baptism to Ernie have now come true as he has joined the great family reunion in Heaven. As his family and friends grieve his unexpected death, we hope you are comforted in that he is enjoying the joys of heaven. May that bring some peace to your hearts. Blessed be his memory.

I have fond memories of working in the greenhouse with Ernie during the summer. He gave so much to the community over the years. He and Ann Grace are one of a kind.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Ernie's passing. He was one of these "bigger than life" individuals that we only occasionally have in our lives. A wonderful sense of humor, kind, a good businessman and a loyal friend and a caring boss over the years that I worked for him and Ann Grace. There are no better people.
