Evelyn Tweeten Elthon Juvet

FERTILE - Evelyn Tweeten Elthon Juvet, 80, formerly of Fertile, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Freedom Plaza Care Center in Peoria, Ariz.
Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at the Petersen Lund Funeral Home, 505 N Clark St. in Forest City. Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Brush Point Cemetery in rural Hanlontown, Iowa.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held for Evelyn at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Fertile Lutheran Church with Lay Pastor David Halverson officiating. A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service on July 2.
Evelyn was born on May 11, 1931, in Forest City. She grew up on a farm three and a half miles west of Fertile. After graduation from Fertile High School, Evelyn earned a degree from Hamilton Business College in Mason City. Four children were born to her union with husband David Lee Elthon.
In Phoenix, Evelyn was employed at Arizona State University for a number of years where she met and married Richard S. Juvet.
Evelyn is survived by her sister, Mary; four children, Ray (Susan) Elthon of Iowa City; Donald (Brenda) Elthon of Falls Church, Va.; Thomas Elthon of Lincoln, Neb.; and Barbara (Jan) Weigt of Phoenix, Ariz.: three grandchildren, Jessica MacNeil, Martin Elthon and Synneva Elthon; and a great-granddaughter, Alana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Ruth Tweeten, and her husbands.
The family wishes memorials be directed to the Fertile Lutheran Church.
