My LOVE and PRAYERS are with those who were closest to Grandma Helen trying to find their way through this terrible loss of a loved one. I know grandma would want us ALL to remember her in her Best of times rather than in sorrow. I believe that this is not just a time for morning, but a Celebration of Life and the many precious times each of us spent with her. I unfortunately was not able to make it to grandmas funeral, but intern I had my sister Jana(Bartels) read a letter of Life at her passing which you may have heard and for those who did'nt please contact me and I will gladly send a copy to you. Grandma Hellen, you are greatly loved and missed by everyone who knew you, and one day we will see you in Heaven. I Love you Grandma, Your oldest grandson, Scot

I'm sorry that I didn't get to the funeral. There are so many memories of your Mom including the fact that she dumped me on a manure pile with a brand new snowsuit on!! Will think of her often.

Terry, Jerry, and families,
I am sorry to hear about Helen's passing. You have my deepest sympathies. I regret that I was unable to attend her memorial service last Saturday.
I have such good memories of Helen and always smile when I think of her and her sense of humor. It was always a treat to visit Grandpa and Grandma and see Bud and Helen there too. Besides, we were fellow New York Yankees fans in the midst of Twins' territory.
When I was in high school, my Grandma Skelley was a cook at Corwith-Wesley and talked me into playing a trumpet solo for a Hancock County cooks' meeting. There, too, in the audience was Helen since she was a cook at Garner, and the presense of a familiar, friendly face made me a little less nervous.
I also appreciated her help in gathering Grandma Kate's belongings from the nursing home in Forest City after she died.
I'm sure all of you have a wealth of good memories of your Mom and Grandma, and I hope they will comfort you during this time.
