I am so sorry to hear about Jim. My late husband (Nick Parcher) worked in the woodworking shop, at the village in Clear Lake, with Jim. My husband always shared there funny jokes/stories with me in the evening. I also worked at the village, so sometimes I would stop in to see my husband and then have to give Jim a " bad time". I can still hear them laughing, goofing off, enjoying what they did together. The clients enjoyed them too. He talked about his Mother with such love and talked about his kids alot. He will be sadly missed, yet my husband and Jim will be having a fun time together. If you ever come to Clear Lake, please stop by sometime. Marilyn Parcher

I was blessed with the opportunity to work with Jim from 1990-2002. One of his yearly springtime traditions, at the Village, was to hunt for a 4-leaf clover & then share his “treasure” with others. As I see it, Jim was the “treasure” that was being shared with us. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with him at Opportunity Village. He was a great man and loved by many. Jim loved to play the lottery, especially pull tabs. We always laughed about how lucky he was! Jim always spoke fondly of his mother and his children. He always had a good story to share:) You are in my thoughts. God Bless ~

I was so sorry to hear of Jimmy Beal's passing! He was working in the shop at then, Handicap Village, now Opportunity Village when I started almost 28 years ago. He was so wonderful with the people he served in the shop area. He and Nick Parcher were quite a pair!!! Always sharing something nice and often sharing jokes! "Jimmy, take care and say Hi to Big Nick!" To his family I am sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather...God's peace to you all.

We're sorry to hear that James has died. We always enjoyed our family visits and get togethers in Clear Lake or Mason City every summer. Jim and his mother were always there. We had some good bingo games and some nice Visits,
