Jeanettee Greiman Obituary

Jeanettee Greiman

December 16, 1945 - August 11, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeanettee Ann Kohler Greiman, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend to all whose lives she touched. She passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. In true form, she maintained her indomitable fighting spirit until the very end.

A celebration of her life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 23rd, at the Garner VFW, 315 Center Avenue in Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Garner VFW Auxiliary.

Born on December 16, 1945, Jeanettee grew up on a family farm in Portland, Iowa, as the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Steinbach) Kohler. She graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1964 and pursued further education at NIACC in Mason City. On June 21, 1974, she married the love of her life, David Greiman, and together they built a warm home in Garner where they raised their family and celebrated 51 years of marriage. Jeanettee's professional journey included roles at 3M, contributions to the family business at Greiman Construction, and later work at Murphy Realty and Management. Over the years, she called several Iowa communities home, including Portland, Klemme, West Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and her beloved Garner.

A woman of boundless warmth and many passions, Jeanettee delighted in cooking and was renowned for her exceptional pie-baking skills, always making everyone welcome at her table with love and generosity. She was an enthusiastic bowler, kept an impeccably tidy home, and cherished evenings playing cards with friends. Her weekly outings to the local golf course brought her joy, but nothing surpassed the happiness of being surrounded by loved ones. Above all, her family was the heart of her world and her greatest source of pride.

Jeanettee is survived by her husband, David; three children, Cindy (Guy) Hewett of Mason City, Matt (Jamie) Greiman of Garner, and David Greiman of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Madison, Hillary, Kaylee, Carter, Ty, Ellyse, Jaren, and Conrad; five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Jane (Mark) Sullivan and Michele (Jon) Whitesell; brothers, Mike (Linda) Kohler, Jay Kohler, and John Kohler; a sister-in-law, Judie Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Robert Greiman; and other cherished family members.
