Mora Leopard Obituary
April 27, 1931 - November 26, 2025
Mora Faye Leopard-known as Faye to her friends-passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in Smith County, TN, to Roy and Julia Shepherd, Faye later married her beloved husband, Ernest Leopard of Athens, AL, on August 31, 1951. They shared 67 years of marriage.
Faye worked for many years as an Executive Secretary at Sears and was a devoted mother to her two children, Laura and Nathan Leopard. A woman of deep faith, she served her church and community with love, humility, and steadfast commitment.
In 2022, Faye moved with her son, Nathan, to Mason City, IA. She resided at Kentucky Ridge for a year and a half, where she quickly grew to love her new home. She then became a resident of Good Shepherd, where she spent nearly two years and was warmly embraced by both staff and fellow residents. Faye was known for her friendliness, kindness, and genuine care for others.
A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd on December 30 for all residents who have recently passed.
