NORA SPRINGS | Rebecca "Becky" Christiansen, 67, of Nora Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at the Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, 3269 Foothill Ave., Osage, with Pastor David A. Werges and Diaconal Minister Elayne J. Werges officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
Becky was born Jan. 26, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Joel and Freida (Conner) Lamb. She graduated from Bitburg High School in Bitburg, Germany. Becky met Jon Christiansen while he was serving in the military in Germany. They were married on Aug. 19, 1966.
Becky and Jon returned to the Nora Springs area where they raised their family. She was a member of Rock Creek Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, baking, canning, birdwatching, watching movies, and spoiling her cat, Sparky. Most of all, Becky loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.
Becky is survived by her husband, Jon Christiansen of Nora Springs; her children, Clayton (Amber) Christiansen of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Lacy Christiansen of New Orleans, Louisiana, Levi (Elizabeth) Christiansen of Eagle Grove, and Mandy (Josh) Skarloken of Mountain Home, Idaho; grandchildren, Derek, Mitchell and Coaltyn Christiansen, Morgan and Kale Christiansen, Aneidra and Magnus Skarloken; great-granddaughter, Elena Christiansen; and sister, Beverly (Herve) Martin of Weatherford, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Freida Lamb; her stepfather, Steven Puska; her stepmother, Hazel Lamb; and her sister, Joanna Bennett.
