Robert Wobbrock Obituary
BRICELYN, Minn. - Robert "Bob" William Wobbrock Jr., age 64, of Bricelyn, Minn., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Sept.29, at 2 p.m. at Bricelyn Lutheran Church in Bricelyn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Luther Peterson will officiate. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn is in charge of arrangements.
Robert "Bob" Jr. was born June 28, 1948, in St. Paul to Robert William Sr. and Thelma (Erdman) Wobbrock. He was united in marriage to Vicky Clark on September 11, 1971, at the Methodist Church in Austin, Minn. To this union two children, Andrea and Bobby, were born.
Bob graduated from Austin High School in 1966 and then enlisted into the United States Army. He served in Vietnam twice as a communications specialist and was honorably discharged in 1969. He worked at Winnebago Industries for 37 years as a maintenance supervisor.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing and working on cars. For the past 30-plus years he enjoyed spending a week up north with the rest of the Wobbrock family for their annual vacation.
Bob is survived by his wife, Vicky, of Bricelyn; children, Andrea (Paul) Heinl and their son Douglas of Albert Lea, and Robert (Jenny) Wobbrock III and their son Zephen of Austin; siblings, Thomas Wobbrock of Austin, Beth (Tom) Houchin of Glendale, Ariz., Sheila Supalla of Fairmont, Greg (Dag) Wobbrock of Tacoma, Wash., Laurie Sheimo (Paul Helm) of Austin, Cheryl (Al) Ruzek of Cass Lake and Jolynn Koster (Dave Stallard) of International Falls; 19 nieces and nephews and 3 great-nieces and greatnephews, along with their families, as well as countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Marlin Koster.
