NORA SPRINGS | Steven Dale Kramer, 60, of Nora Springs, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Bohl Center in the Marble Rock Gym in Marble Rock, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
A luncheon will follow at the Bohl Center in Marble Rock.
Steven Dale Kramer was born Jan. 13, 1955, to Ronald and Beulah (Nikolas) Kramer in Charles City. He graduated from Rockford High School in 1973 before working at Oliver, Farmland, and as a semi driver and then for the fertilizer plant in Charles City, and for Hampton Hydraulics for 20 years.
Steve loved cars, his '68 Cougar specifically. He did all his own mechanic work and for his family. He took pride and joy in every vehicle he owned. Steve was a dedicated employee and a very hard worker. When he wasn't working or working on a car, he would often take road trips to see family members. Steve was a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ronald and Beulah Kramer; daughters, Heather Kramer, Aredale, and Krystin (Nick) Miller, Readlyn; grandchildren, Haelie Hawley, and Benjamin Miller; siblings, Mike (Norlene) Kramer, Chapin, Linda Pearce, Rockford, Joe (Becky) Kramer, Marble Rock, Richard (Marta) Kramer, Nora Springs; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his brother, James Kramer; grandparents, John and Theresa Kramer, and Herman and Leta Nikolas; cousins, John Engels Jr. and Janet Engels; and an uncle, John Engels.
Steve's family would like to thank the Nora Springs Care Center staff for the wonderful care given to him during his stay there.
