Burlington - Christopher Mark Armey
passed away peacefully at home on September 28th from complications of Friedreich's Ataxia, a battle he faced with courage, humor, and endless grace. He was surrounded by his devoted mother Cindy, his loving aunt Darci, and his cousins Mackenzie and Hannah-his constant circle of care and comfort. Together, they watched over him, just as they had for all of his life, making sure he was safe, loved, and never alone. Their unwavering devotion, laughter, and presence brought him peace until his very last moment.
Christopher is survived by his mother Cindy Barcroft Bessner, who dedicated her entire life to ensuring his every need was met with love and dignity; his father Dennis Armey; his aunt Darci Hart; his cousins Mackenzie Hart and family and Hannah Cruz and family; his sister Jillian Moller and family; brother Wesley Armey and family; sister Taryn Forst and family; and brother Kyle Bessner. He is also remembered fondly by his lifelong best friends Joseph Carlson and Code Small, and their families, who were like brothers to him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Nana Sherry Hart; grandparents Lloyd and Evelyn Armey ("Gramps and Granna"); Aunt Sandy Williams; Uncle Butch Johnson; brother A.J. Armey; and his stepfather and champion Brett Bessner.
There are countless people who made a difference in Christopher's life. We believe, with full hearts, that the outpouring of love and support from family and friends gave us far more precious years with him than anyone ever expected-and for that, we are eternally grateful.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vidhu Paliwal at Skagit Regional Health for his compassionate care, and to Hospice of the Northwest for their tenderness and guidance during Christopher's final days.
Rest in peace, Spudy-and remember, "We love you more."
