Addison Soogrim Singh, 52, of 538 North Fork Road, Gretna, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was born on May 2, 1970, in Trinidad, a son of the late Madham Soogrim Singh and Bhagmania Dookhoo Singh. He was a member of Valley View Church of God and a medical sonographer. Addison enjoyed scuba diving, skydiving, biking, hiking, snowboarding and mountain climbing.
He is survived by one son, Brandon Madhan Singh of Florida; one brother, Winston Singh and his wife, Kathleen, of Florida; two sisters, Denyse Singh of Florida, and Andrea Donley and her husband, Scott, of Georgia; nine nieces and nephews, Gabe, Jeniah, Amanda, Ashleigh, Asya, Alli, Brittany, Tyler and Travis; and a brother-in-law, Mike Marcano. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Marcano.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a. m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by Pastor David J. Willard with a reception following in the multipurpose room at the Altavista Area YMCA. The family received friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider Valley View Church of God, 202 Fauntleroy Street, Altavista, VA 24517.
