Adele Boyd Obituary
Born in Pittsylvania County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Little and Annie Artis Little.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, James A. Wade Chapter #174 Order of Eastern Star, and a retired employee of Fieldcrest Mills in Eden.
She is survived by five sons, Clifton R. Boyd of the residence, William L. Boyd of Norfolk, Dennis E. Boyd and Hodges L. Boyd, both of Capitol Heights, Md. and Charlie P. Boyd Jr. of Martinsville; four daughters, Gina C. Nicholson of Danville, Priscilla M. Artis of Norfolk, Rebecca B. Johnson of Eden and Ardell B. Manns of Ridgeway, Va.; a sister, Annie W. Irving of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Claude Little of Axton and George Little of Danville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 11 at St. John Baptist Church in Axton with Pastor Green Moore officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Eden is in charge of arrangements.
