Billy Atkins Obituary
January 30, 1936 - July 7, 2022
Billy N. Atkins, age 86, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
Born in Englewood, Tenn., he was educated at Englewood High School, Class of 1955. Billy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Danville Community College in Danville, Virginia, after many years of service. One of his most loved pastimes in life was watching his grandkids play sports. Billy will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Kate Atkins; grandson, Travis Parker; and son-in-law, Keith Moss.
Survivors include loving wife of 65 years, Henrietta Williams Atkins; daughters, Patti Moss and fiancé, Armstead Hodges, and Kathy Parker and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Nikki M. Jackson, Melissa M. Romeo and husband, Tony, Will N. Parker, and K. Rebekah Parker; and great-grandchildren, Stuart and Ellie Romeo.
A family graveside service was held Monday, July 11, 2022, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Online condolences may be left at weatherfordmortuary.com.

Henrietta, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of Bill. We loved him! We loved to talk with him about baseball, especially the Braves-Danville and Atlanta.
