Camilla Wright Obituary
Camilla Elizabeth Walker Wright passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Camilla was born on June 19, 1931. On August 5, 1950 she married Garland Wisemen Wright and they were married 45 years. Camilla was a member of United Baptist Church. She and her husband worked in all aspects of church life from the time they married until death. She retired from Dan River Mills after 44 years to take care of her husband. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Camilla is survived by her children Janice Wright, Donna Cook (Steve), Linda Whitney (Robert), G W Wright Jr. (Robin), Amy Wright; grandchildren, Kelly Smith (Todd), Crystal Meadows, Blake Whitney (Tiffany), Maggie Kiser (Vance), Caitlin Wright; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Makayla, Eli, Paxton, Palmer, Blakely, Lincoln; sisters, Dorothy Walker, Betty Carroll, Alma Burke, Joan Daniel; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was the greatest mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cook, seamstress, and had many other talents. She loved flowers and the outdoors.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 12 p.m. at United Baptist Church with Dr. Adam Woods officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. before the service and at other times at the residence.
A special thank you to Commonwealth Hospice for their services and for the great care provided by the nurses and CNAs.
