Carl Barker Turner, age 62, of Sutherlin, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Danville, Va. He was born May 14, 1958 in Danville, Va. to the late Carl Allen Turner and Emma Anderson Turner. Carl proudly served his country as a member of the US Marines. He was also a 45 year member of the Scorpion Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his mother, Carl is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Cook of Danville and four grandchildren, Carl Andrew Turner Jr., Cameron Cook, Carleigh Stokes and Jacob Allen Stokes.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by a son, Carl Turner; two sisters, Faith Blankenship and Joy Jones.
The family will receive friends 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., Mt. Hermon Chapel 3995 Franklin Tpke., Danville, VA 24540.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Norris Funeral Services Mt. Hermon Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Prinee officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park, Danville, Va. with military honors presented by the US Marines and American Legion post 1097.
