Clarence "C.H." Henry Humphrey
Mr. Clarence "C.H." Henry Humphrey, age 72, died suddenly on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Sovah Health Danville.
C.H. was born in Salisbury, N.C., on December 17, 1948, a son of the late Henry Hilliard Humphrey and Martha Alice Harris Humphrey.
C.H. was retired from the City of Danville Water Treatment Plant after forty years of service. He was described as the greatest father in the world and loved his cats, especially "Scooter." C. H. was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Byrd Humphrey whom he married on June 21, 1971; his son, Allen Byrd Humphrey of the home; his sister, Margaret "Maggie" Motley and her husband, Philip, of Danville. He is also survived by a niece, Gwen Andrews and her husband, Eric, of Ringgold; and a nephew, Keith Motley and his wife, Melissa, of Danville.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 4 p.m., in the Townes Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Joe Northen officiating

The family will receive friends at the residence, 280 West Main Street.
