Clyde E. McCormick Jr. Clyde E. McCormick, Jr., 60, of 3450 US Hwy. 29 North, died at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville on Monday, September 16, 2013. Born in Danville on September 11, 1953, he was the son of the late Clyde E. McCormick Sr. and Irene Hill McCormick. He was the owner/operator of Virginia Heating and Refrigeration and Appliance Repair. He attended Danville City schools and enjoyed photography. Mr. McCormick is survived by two daughters, Tina Evans and her husband, Kenny, of Danville, and Jennifer Collins and her husband, Michael, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Steve McCormick and his wife, Susie, of Ringgold; and two grandsons, Christopher and Nathan Evans of Danville. Also, one nephew, Blake McCormick; and one niece, Jessica McCormick, both of Ringgold. Funeral services for Mr. McCormick will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frederick K. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Barker Chapel from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013. At other times, they will be at the home of Tina and Kenny Evans, 593 Gemstone Lane, off 58 West, Danville. Barker Funeral Home is respectfully serving the McCormick family.
