Drury Malcolm "Smokey" Stratton REIDSVILLE, N.C. - Drury Malcolm "Smokey" Stratton, 77, of 187 Thompson Heights Reidsville, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday September 7, 2013, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013, in Evergreen Memory Gardens. A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Howard Lincoln and Madie Harrison Stratton and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. He was a retired employee of Cone Mills having worked at the Edna Plant in Reidsville, and later at the White Oak Plant in Greensboro. He was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Jeannette Rainey Stratton; three sisters, Lois Quick, Howardine Holliman and Vivian Stratton; and one brother, Gilbert Chester Stratton. Surviving, his wife, Carol Yow Stratton of the home; son, M. Kevin Stratton and fiancee, Jo Ann Miller, of Elon, NC; daughters, Cerita S. Massey and fiance, J.B. Prince of Reidsville, NC, Fayia S. Weatherly and husband, Daniel, of Reidsville, NC, and Viola Carol Stratton and fiance, Sidney French, of Reidsville, NC; brother, Thurston Stratton and wife, Joy, of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Massey and wife, Miranda, Keith Weatherly, and Rainey Scearce; great- grandchildren, Seth and Logan Massey. The family will see friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of his daughter, Viola Carol Stratton, 171 Thompson Heights, Reidsville, NC.
