Howard Wade Lumpkin Jr., age 36, of 2185 N Main St., Danville, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va.He was born on December 8, 1979, in Danville, Va. to Howard Wade Lumpkin Sr. and Janice Neal Lumpkin. Mr. Lumpkin attended the Church of God of Prophecy.He is survived by his parents, wife, Crystal Lumpkin of the residence; children, Howard Wade Lumpkin III, and Elizabeth Annette Mae Lumpkin; brothers, Martin Russell Lumpkin, Neal Lee Lumpkin, and Kenneth Lumpkin; sister, Janice Mae Faith Lumpkin all of Danville, Va.; grandmother, Lois Neal; and step-grandmother, Gracie Lumpkin.Mr. Lumpkin was predeceased by his grandparents, Martin Neal and Burnice and Mary Lumpkin; and great-grandmother, Alma Mae Neal.Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Barker Funeral Home with the Rev. Becky Moss, the Rev. James Graham, and the Rev. Albert Moser officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.Barker Funeral Services is respectfully serving the Lumpkin family.
