James Marshall Mills

James Mills Obituary

MARTINSVILLE, Va. - James Marshall Mills, 76, of 1247 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Memorial Hospital.
Born November 8, 1929, in Patrick County, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Mills and the late Roberta Turner Mills.
He retired from DuPont and attended Fontaine Baptist Church. He served in the Army during the Korean War, where he received a Bronze and Silver Star, along with three Purple Hearts.
He was married to Sue Quesenberry Mills.
He is survived by a daughter, Dianna Meadows of Danville; one son, Jimmy Mills of Martinsville; two sisters, Susan Mills of Martinsville and Patricia Carolyn Stevens of Ridgeway; two brothers, Samuel Warren Mills of Martinsville and Robert Edward Mills of Martinsville; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Luella Mills and Janice Mills Cundiff; and two brothers, R.L. Mills and David Mills.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 at McKee-Stone Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Bill Preskitt officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services.

Arrangements are by McKee-Stone Funeral Services.
