Dr. Jesse Reis Wall

Dr. Jesse Reis Wall passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the age of 76. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 4 p.m. at the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Greenville, North Carolina. Those in attendance are requested to wear a mask.

Jesse was born in Danville, Virginia on September 21, 1945. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Paul Wall of Danville.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 54 years, Verla Henderson Wall (Greenville, N.C.); daughter, Elizabeth Morgan Wall (Burbank, Calif.); a sister and brother-in-law, Wayne and Betty Hanks (Greenville, N.C.) and many nieces and nephews.

Jesse served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970 before attending Fairmont State College, where he earned a degree in biology, and West Virginia University, where he earned his DDS. He owned his own dental practice in Danville for more than 40 years before deciding to relocate to Cypress Glen Retirement Community in Greenville.

In his free time, Jesse enjoyed outdoor sports including fishing, hunting, boating and equestrian sports. He also raced sports cars with the SCCA and NASA.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Vidant Health Foundation or the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County.

I am in shock as I read the obit just now for Reis. I remember the good times he and Gil had when we were on Grove St. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
