Joan Hearp Obituary
Joan Womack Hearp, 72, of Ringgold, Va., went to her heavenly home, on Sunday, August 8, 2021. She was born on March 26, 1949, in Danville, to the late Elijah and Rachel Cundiff. She was also predeceased by her husband, Douglas Ray Hearp.
Joan was known as a very kind and loving person, who would do anything she could to help others. She enjoyed lighthouses, hummingbirds, and Elvis Pressley music. She loved her family dearly, always including them in her prayers.
Mrs. Hearp is survived by her son, Donnie Womack; sister, Rachel Lee Jefferson (Tommy); brothers, Richard Cundiff (Linda), Kent Cundiff (Gale), and Paul Cundiff and friend, Patsy Thomas; grandchildren, Lauren Womack and Dalten Womack; stepdaughter, Jenny Hearp Hendrix (Jim); step grandchildren, Mackenzie Hearp and Layland Hearp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Norris Funeral Services, 511 Church Ave., Danville, Va., with Butch McDaniel officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral at 1 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Danville Memorial Gardens. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory, West End Chapel, 511 Church Ave., Danville, is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.norrisfuneral.com.
