Larry Ray Hudgins Larry Ray Hudgins, 63, of Danville, Va., died Monday, April 14, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after decline in health for the past year. Born in Danville, Va., on October 2, 1950, he was a son of the late Raymond G. Hudgins and Charlotte Johnson Hudgins. Mr. Hudgins served in U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked in the Tree Care business prior to being disabled. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 4420 where he served on the Board of Trustees. Survivors include three daughters, Angela McKinney (Christopher), Monica Hamilton, both of Danville, Va.; April Mayberry (Jonathan) of Ringgold, Va.; two brothers, Roger Hudgins of Lynchburg, Va., and Philip Hudgins, of Danville, Va.; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Patsy H. Goad. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel conducted by the Rev. W. L. Wade. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Dan River Post # 1097 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of his daughter, April Mayberry, 3357 Rocksprings Road, Ringgold, Va.
