Louis was a member of various churches during his work travels and served as Sunday School teacher and/or deacon at each.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne Abbott Hutcherson of the home and three children, Louis A. Hutcherson, III, Elizabeth Hutcherson White and Lee Hayes Hutcherson. He also leaves four grandchildren: Lily, Julia, Justin and Katherine.

Also surviving are three brothers, James W. Hutcherson, C. David Hutcherson and Nathan G. Hutcherson.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Brenda H. Jeffress.

Lou Hutcherson was my dear friend and neighbor for almost 40 years. He was a family man of integrity and the highest moral character which was only surpassed by his faith in God. His passing marked the end of a great life well lived. If all men lived by the same standards as Lou, this world would be a much better place.

Anne and Family
I am just hearing of Louis passing and my thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I can't tell you how often i think of you and your sweet Mom and Dad. Ann, I'm so sorry to hear of Louis's death. I apologize for not getting to see him. I call Archie Boswell on Sat to get your address and had planned to stop by on the way back from Danville. Archie told me earlier this year of his sickness and of his passing on Sat.
This past year we past through Ferdericksburg on the way to Charlottsville but I always forgot to bring your address. We actually drove aroung looking at a number of housing developments but never found your house. I am so sorry I didn't get to see him. You and Louis were great friends at Whitmell Hi.
Please convey Karen's and my condolence to the family. If there is anything I can do to help you in the future, please call. We are located in Lexington Park in Southern Md. just across the 301 Potomac River Bridge. May God confort you and your family in these trying times.
Sincerely
Jerry and Karen Carter

Bobby and I were so sorry to hear of Louis' death. I know words cannot make your sorrow any easier to bear, but it is my hope that your memories help you to cope with the difficult days ahead. Every time you recall his laughter, repeat something he used to say...or everytime you think of him he will be with you. In being remembered his legacy will live on.
Anne, to have shared 50 years with Louis is such a wonderful testimony about the life the two of you had. I am sure you hold it very close to your heart as the Lord is embracing and holding you close to his heart right now. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Lou was a man of God and a dear friend to Laurie and I that we both looked up to. I will long remember our many times of conversation, laughter and praying with and for each other. It was so encouraging to see him carry such a strong spirit to the very end despite his extreme physical weakness. I look forward to seeing him again, in a glorified & Heavenly body that cancer or sickness can never touch. God bless the Hutcherson family.

To Louis Hutcherson' Family:
Sunday July 10, 2011
Louis was a 'Great Christian Man'; he has a 'Wonderful Redeemer'; I grew up in the 'Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church' with the Hutcherson family and Louis' dad used to be my 'Sunday School Teacher' and it no wonder that Louis Jr. turned out to be such a 'Sound Christian Witness and Worker'. May the 'God of all Comfort' bless, keep and comfort you in these hours and the days and weeks ahead.

Anne and Family Rick and I are very sorry for your loss.
Heavens gain. Lou was a great part of my life and my children's when they were young. He was my Sunday school teacher at Mount Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church for years. What a great Teacher of the Bible. He will be truely missed. He told Rick that he prayed for him every day what a prayer warrior. It's so hard to lose the ones we love here on this earth but knowing we will meet again is a comfort. Let our Lord Jesus wrap you all in his arms and give you comfort.

We are saddened to hear of Louis's death. He was such a fine, Christian, family man and will be greatly missed. He always had kind words of encouragement and faith to share with those he met. I feel blessed to have known him for so many years as a part of the family. He impacted so many lives in such a positive way. I know that your hearts are heavy now but knowing the life of faith that he lived should be of comfort to you. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you at this time. May God continue to give you strength and encouragement in the days ahead.

It was just late yesterday that we heard about Louis' death. We are so sorry. There's a wonderful old adage that I believe with all my heart and soul. It says "friendship doubles our joys and divides our griefs." I hope that's a thought you can hold and embrace during this difficult time. We love you and continue to pray for strength and comfort for you and your family. Love you, Barbara and Sammy Payne
