Mary Walden Dodd, age 64, of Axton, Va., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019, at her residence. She was born on July 1, 1954, in Danville, Va., to the late James Levi Walden and the late Malinda Emerson Walden. Mary was married to Ray Martin Dodd who survives of the residence. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Desiree Dodd Klun of Eastern Shore, Va.; a son, Jason David Dodd (Stacey) of Axton; four sisters, Carolyn Craddock (Larry), Diane Brace, Wendy Byrd (Carl), and Linda Swanson; two brothers, Roger Walden (Emma) and Ricky Walden; and six grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Dodd, Layla Gayle Dodd, Maggie Rae Dodd, John William Hall, Alyssah Klun and Sebastian Castellanos. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, James Walden. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, at Silas Dodd Cemetery, 600 Silas Dodd Lane, Dry Fork, VA 24549, with the Rev. Larry Craddock Officiating. The family will receive friends 1 until 5 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the Residence.
