Mary Stoddart Obituary
Mary Haley Stoddart, 79, of Ringgold, Va. passed away suddenly at Sovah Health Hospital on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
Mary was born on June 3, 1942 to the late Forrest and Nellie Haley in Newark, Ark. After graduating from Batesville High School in 1959, she went on to study at Harding University, Arkansas College, and in 1990 earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting at Averett University. Mary worked in the healthcare industry as a transcriptionist at multiple doctors' offices and hospitals the majority of her working career. She loved flower gardening, studying genealogy, and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Stoddart Wintrode (Scott) of Danville, Va., and Amy Beth Stoddart of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; beloved granddaughter, Haley Ann Youngs (Amy) of Danville, Va.; siblings, Howard Haley (Mary Ann) of Batesville, Ark., Betty Rega (Nick) of Wildwood, Mo., and David Haley of Ringgold, Va.; an aunt, Ila Rae Fetzer of Somerville, TN; and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to Covid, a private Memorial Service will be held on January 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. The service will, however, be broadcast live via YouTube and links will be listed on the funeral home website.
All expressions of sympathy, including flowers, honorary donations to God's Pit Crew (2499 N. Main St., Danville, VA 24540), and cards are welcome.
