Michael "Mike" Landrum

Michael "Mike" Davis Landrum, 71, passed away on October 23, 2022, after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 27, 1950, to the late Charlie Howard Landrum and the late Hattie Davis Landrum. He was married to Mary Davis Landrum, who survives.

He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. He retired early from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Mike spent his retirement enjoying time with his family, working on his farm, and hunting.

Mike was a charitable and generous man, whose family always came first in his life. He will be greatly missed. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to the love of his life, Mary, he is survived by his daughter, Neathery L. Harris; grandsons, Landon McKee and Avery Harris; sister-in-law, Patsy Landrum; brother-in-law, Douglas Crowder; nieces, Vickie Barker, Wanda Landrum, Hope White, Pamela Hundley and Judy Mayhew; and nephews, Clinton (Missy) Burnett and Dean Howerton.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Charlee Nichole Harris; sister, Mary "Sissy" H. Crowder; brothers, David L., William (Ronald) and Lewis C. Landrum; sister-in-law, Esther Landrum; and son-in-law, Charles Harris.

A special thanks to those who gave much love, support and care to Mike during his illness: Wanda Landrum, Larry and Gay Landrum, and Doug Aiken.

A graveside service will be held at Highland Burial Park Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. Mike requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mt. Hermon Fire Department and Danville Life Saving Crew.
