MICHAEL SOYARS Obituary
CASCADE-Michael "Mike" Burton Soyars, 58, of 596 Huntington Trail in Cascade, VA, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 1, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Salmons Family Cemetery in Cascade. Mike was born October 29, 1954 in Danville, VA. He was a 1972 graduate of Tunstall High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and most sports and was a member of Lynrock Golf Club. He was a member of Cascade Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda "Terry" Sharder Soyars of the home; son, Brian Soyars and wife, Rose of Spencer, VA; two daughters, Angela Willard and husband, Patrick of Eden and Dusty Williams and husband, Bill of Danville; mother, Annie Faye Salmons Soyars; step-son, Kelley Jamison and wife, Tonya of Wentworth; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Crews, Hunter Willard, Jordan Atkinson and Hannah Williams; three step-grandchildren, Corey, Roman and Katelin Jamison; sister, Melinda Finney and husband, Jeff of Danville and a niece, Jamie Finney and nephew, Jeffrey Finney, II. He was preceded in death by his father, Burton Soyars. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence and also at the home of his mother at 545 Huntington Trail in Cascade. Annie Faye, Melinda, all Mike"s children. I"m so sorry for your loss. A son, brother and a Father gone. Mike was a great person. I have great memories of him growing up. We were so young, only 15 and 16. I will never forget him. Remember all the good times?.
