Nelson Leroy Whitt, 87, of Danville, Virginia passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Bright Leaf Assisted Living in Danville, Virginia. He was born on October 18, 1934 in Danville, Virginia to the late Trooper and Elizabeth Whitt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Neal Whitt.
Nelson was a member of the Bass Masters and loved to fish. He enjoyed attending car shows and showing his classic car.
Nelson is survived by his wife, Kay Frances Roberts Whitt; son, Jerry Whitt (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Rhonda Whitt; grandchildren, Arron Whitt, Andrew Whitt, and Shelly – Jean Whitt.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 4 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service. Burial will be on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Danville 58 East, Danville Virginia.
