Patsy Dean Snead Goad, 81, of Ringgold, Va., died on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center, after a decline in health for the past year. Ms. Goad was born in Danville, Va. on May 23, 1937, a daughter of the late John Benny "Buster" Snead and the late Lillian Edith Weatherford Snead. She lived all of her life in the Ringgold Community and was a retired nurse. She was a member of Glenwood Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Johnny Ray Goad and wife, Tammy, Terry Lee Goad, and Jeffrey Lorne Goad and wife, Kim; a daughter, Sharon Goad Moses and husband, Keith; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Eural Snead. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Bennie Ray Snead and John Benny Snead Jr. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the graveside in Highland Burial Park conducted by the Rev. Averette Witcher and the Rev. Carl E. Burger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night, March 20, 2019, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence of her son, Johnny, 692 Neal Davis Rd., Ringgold, VA, 24586. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials donations be made to Glenwood Memorial Baptist Church, 125 Starling Ave, Danville, VA, 24540.
