Patsy Wright Hall, 83, of 173 Northwest Blvd., Danville, Va., went to her Heavenly home, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, after several years of declining health. She was born on March 24, 1934, to the late Paul Massie Wright and the late Evelyn Hill Wright. Patsy grew up in the Glenwood Community and graduated from Dan River High School and graduated from American Business College with Bachelor of Science degree. On February 12, 1956, she married Arvin E. Hall, Sr., who survives. Mrs. Hall worked in the City Treasurer's Office for over 40 years. She was a member of Rivermont Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday School for many years. She was also very active in the Homebound Ministry for Rivermont. Pat was a devoted public servant and gave many volunteer hours to her church. In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her son, A. E. "Butch" Hall, Jr. (Peggy); her daughter, Amy Hall Showalter; her grandchildren, Anne Marie Hall Rudd (David), Mark Hall, and Georgia Renae Showalter; great-grandson, Garrett Andrew Rudd; her cousin, "Little Sister" Nell Hylton (John); and special friends, Margaret Adams, Lisa Elliott, and Heather Shrader. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Buettner, Margie Ballard, and Evelyn Bateman; and her loving aunt, Adelle Haymore. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel with the Rev. Joel Fletcher and Minister Hershel Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service Wednesday, November 22, 2017, and at other times at the son's residence, 2120 Orphanage Road, Danville, Va.
