Rosa Pierce Dodd Rosa Pierce Dodd, 49, of 1463 Ridgecrest Drive, Danville, passed away at her home on Saturday, March, 30, 2013 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Rosa was born in Danville on September 5, 1963, the daughter of the late Bernard Pierce and Wilsie Ricketts Pierce. She was married to Wayne Dodd, who survives her of the home. She attended White Oak Church of God. She previously worked at Masonite and was last employed by Riverside Pawn Shop. She loved to play bingo and ride motorcycles. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Tabitha Wyatt and her husband, Lee, and Khristy Gables and her husband, Gary, all of Danville; brothers, Ronald Pierce and his wife, Rachael, of Danville, and Timothy Pierce of Lynchburg; sister, Sylvia Wilson and her husband, Woody, of Danville. Also, grandchildren, Paytyn Wyatt, Har'Leah Bowes, Alexander Gables, Amber Gables and Brandi Gables. Also surviving are her father and mother in-law, Al and Virginia Dodd. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Emma Gables and a sister, Nellie Burns. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Rosa's hospice nurse, Monica Sellers. Memorial services, officiated by the Rev. Lee Von Eime, will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
