Virginia Dooley Obituary

Virginia A. Butts Dooley

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Virginia A. Butts Dooley, age 88, formerly of Circle Court, Martinsville died on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at National Health Care Center in Greenville, SC. She was born in Chatham, NC to the late John Zinc Butts and Fannie McFarling Butts on December 10, 1919. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Theodore R. Dooley in 2005, four brothers Clyde, Irvin, Lewis, and Malloy Butts, two sisters Lucille Murphy and Louise Willis.

She graduated from the Martinsville Hospital School of Nursing and worked for the Hospital as an LPN for many years. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Martinsville.

She is survived by a son Ronald Larry Dooley of Clemson, SC, a daughter Vickie Dooley Mundis of Greenville, SC, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Martinsville with Rev. John Fulcher and Rev. Dennis Knight officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the parlor of First Baptist Church of Martinsville.

Arrangements are by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
