Joseph Huhn Obituary
He was born on March 18, 1944 in New London, Wisconsin to the late Russell Joseph Huhn and Frances Barbara (Weber) Huhn. On May 25, 1963, he married Madeline Mary (Summers) Huhn in Mehlville, Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John Huhn; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben and Mathilda Summers.
Joseph was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially if he was gardening, hunting or fishing. Dogs held a special place in his heart. Raising cattle on his farm in Illinois gave him great joy but spending time with his family was his greatest passion.
Joseph will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his wife, Madeline Huhn of Rolla, MO; four sons, Russell Huhn and wife, Carla of Vandalia, IL, Bruce Huhn (Bob) of St. Louis, MO, Curtis Huhn and wife, Sue of St. Louis, MO, and Nathan Huhn and wife, Stephanie of Rolla, MO; two brothers, Mark Huhn of Centralia, IL and Mike Huhn and wife, Judy of Carlyle, IL; a sister, Mary Stumpf and husband, Mike of Alhabra, IL; a sister-in-law, Debbie Grafford and husband, David of Godfrey, IL; eight grandchildren, Ashley (David), Nicholas (Austyn), Kadi (Zac), Timothy, Jacob, Joseph, Eleanor and Daniel; four great grandchildren, Ruby, Brody, Henry and Holden; nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Shawn, Heather, Crystal, Justin, Liz, Alison and Julie; many great and great great nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
A funeral mass for Joseph R. Huhn will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 17 St. Patrick Lane, Rolla, MO. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the mass beginning at 12 p.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Patrick Catholic School or the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
