DOYLESTOWN — Christine M. Ziolkowski, 90, peacefully passed away on Dec. 18, 2018, in Doylestown. She was born March 21, 1928, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Helen and Frank Perhosky. Christine graduated from Scott Township High School and then worked 20 years as a secretary at Allis-Chalmers. In 1965, she married Leonard Ziolkowski, her loving husband of 52 years, and became the caring, selfless mother to daughters Maria and Natalie, making Dallas their home.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters Ann Aurin, Mary Lyerly, Helen Perhosky, and brothers Paul, Michael, Joseph, John, Leo, Frank, Walter, and baby Peter Perhosky. Surviving are her daughters Maria Ziolkowski, of Doylestown, and Natalie Nettles and her husband Richard of New Hope, Pa.; two grandchildren, Owen and John Nettles; sister-in-law Dr. Justine Perhosky; many nieces and nephews.
Christine was strong in compassion and faith. She had a sincere, gentle spirit that others trusted in and sensed in her presence. Even in her final days, she showed strength and care for others. Christine had a quiet liveliness and sense of humor that others loved. She celebrated life through warm smiles, dancing and singing. Her face especially lit up when seeing and talking about her grandchildren.
Family received friends between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at the Vladimir S. Corba Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Carnegie, PA 15106 (412-279-1515). A funeral service was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 330 Third Ave., Carnegie. Burial followed at Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Church Cemetery, Green Tree.
The family gratefully thanks the hospice and Pine Run Lakeview staff of Doylestown Health. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Doylestown Health Foundation, 595 W. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.

To my Godmother and family my deepest sympathy! I recall her taking me shopping as a young child to buy me a suit for my First Communion! God Speed Aunt Christine!
