I was privileged to meet Ms. Dorene when Sopo took our girls to meet her. Such a sweet and kind soul. Please accept our warmest sympathies for the passing of your mother, but take comfort in knowing that she's reunited with her love.

Dorene was one of the most loving and kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I looked forward to seeing her, Mr. Ken, and the rest of the group for afternoon coffee at Whataburger every day. She was always so proud of her family and proud to be an American. I'll never forget watching her tear up when the flag was raised during one of the many coffee sessions. Birthdays were always so special to her, as well. If Ms. Dorene and Mr. Ken acknowledged your special day or bought you a birthday cake, they LOVED you and you were family to them.
I missed her moving away this past year, but we were still able to keep in touch through social media. Now she will definitely be missed. Her warmth, and her caring, compassionate nature for both two and four-legged creatures was something anyone would want to emulate. Her laugh was one of pure joy, and her hugs made anyone feel like they'd known her forever. My life was definitely enriched for having known Mrs. Dorene Bowman Edborg and I will forever be thankful our paths crossed in this life.

Dorene was my Godmother no one could ask for a better Godmother. She was the sweetest, caring, most loved person I could ever meet. Her and Ken were the best godparents they where always there for me. I hate that I couldn't be there for her at the end, but I pray she knew I was with her in spirit. I know she is not in pain and her and Ken are back together again. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. She always had a great big smile and love for everyone around her. My mom and her were best friends and they always had the best time together. I love you so much and will miss you RIP my sweet beautiful Godmother you and Ken will always be in my heart ❤

We have known Dorene for over 30 years as part of Christ Lutheran Church. She was so much a part of that congregation and served it up until the very end . She was on the council and was a very active part of the loving and hard closing of the church she and Ken loved for so many years. We loved she as a friend and a person who could be counted on to do whatever was needed to advance the work of God.Heaven is a better place with she and Ken in it.

Aunt Dorene, you will be truly missed. I will always remember the many summers spent with you and Uncle Ken. You were a beautiful person inside and out, with the best laugh. You loved god, family, and life to the fullest. I love you.

I spent more hours than i can count with Dorene and Ken. Growing up that was my second home. She always kept in touch with me and followed my kids as they grew up. I know she and Ken are dancing in heaven and he is teasing her about something. She will be deeply missed.

I only met Ms. Dorene once. However, I know her because she helped to raise an amazing daughter. Marlys is loving, supportive, kind. I know that is in part because of her mother. Peace and prayers for comfort for the entire family:
