EDITH ZESCH Obituary

MASON - Edith Kothmann Zesch, of Mason, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at the age of 87. She was born on the Kothmann ranch in Mason County on Jan. 15, 1920, to Ben and Hulda Brandenberger Kothmann. Edith married Jimmie Zesch on Aug. 2, 1941. They lived on their ranch in the Grossville community in 1983 when they built a home in town. She was a member of River of Life Church in Mason. Edith was gracious and hospitable to all who entered her home and was a special blessing to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brothers, Clarence, Ryland and Quincy. She is survived by two children, Gary Zesch and wife Carole of Mason and Cindy Thompson and husband Larry of Munday; five grandchildren, Roy Zesch and wife Julie of Veribest, Todd Thompson and wife Kelly of Munday, Rae Ann Martin and husband Glen of Mason, Trey Thompson and wife Ronda of Munday, and Tyler Thompson and wife Tonya of Munday; 23 grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Zesch and Amanda Zesch, both of Mason. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at River of Life Church in Mason. Interment followed in the Gooch Cemetery. Memorials in honor of Edith may be made to the Mason Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be sent to the family online at masonfuneralhome.net. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mason Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of the death of your loved one. We were on vacation with the Bob Cudes and just got home on Monday night. Someone called the Cudes from Munday on the day of the funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless Kenneth and Pat Brandenberger
