Esperanza Velardez Obituary
Sonora
Esperanza "Pola" Duran Velardez, born Dec. 4, 1935, went to be with the lord on Sunday Oct 9, 2016, at the age of 80.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Sonora, Texas, with Father Terry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Tomasa Duran; beloved daughter Ester Barron; brothers Willie Duran and Santos Duran; sister Virginia Ynostrosa; brother-in-law Paul Ynostrosa; son-in-law Juan Luna; and niece Alicia Vera.
Pola is survived by her three daughters and brother, Yrma Luna of San Angelo, Clara Gutierrez and husband Joe, Rosalinda Contreras and husband Mando and Aniceto Duran and wife Yolanda, all from Sonora, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she all loved dearly.
Family wishes to thank Park Plaza Nursing Home and Staff, Dr. Chitwood, Dr. Acevedo, Dr. Marti, Kindred Hospice and Staff and countless friends whom we regard as family.
