JANICE EGGLESTON Obituary
Our Janice Merlene Eggleston went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2008, at her residence. Mama was so happy and thrilled to be able to see her loved ones before she passed on. Jan was born on Oct. 10, 1938, to Trudy and Andrew McDaniel in Atoka, Okla. She is survived by her husband, Garaland Eggleston, of Big Lake; two sons, Gary and Greg Eggleston, both of Big Lake; one daughter, Tina Noland and husband Mark of Big Lake; one sister, Shirley and husband Tony Thomas of Dowagiac, Mich.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Carol Eggleston of Pampa; three sisters-in-law, Anna Lee McDaniel of Elk City, Okla., Louis McDaniel of Pickashay, Okla., and Kathy Bacon of Elk City, Okla.; and two nephews, Bill McDaniel and Lloyd McDaniel, both of Elk City, Okla. Her grandchildren include Guy Eggleston of Studio City, Calif., Penny Jones of Sweetwater, Ashley Eggleston of San Angelo, Mandi Villerral and husband Rey of Big Lake, and Lindsey and Brentley Noland of Big Lake. Great-grandchildren include Destiny Jones of Sweetwater and Alyzza and MaKayla Villerreal of Big Lake; and one great-grandson Devin Reyes of San Angelo. She will be missed by her "special" caregiver and nurse, Rolando Pena of Big Lake. Jan was loved by all her nieces and nephews, John Urban, Anthony Urban, Justin Urban and Samantha Urban, all of Dowagiac, Mich., Debbie Dixon and family, Sherri Fortenberry and family and Glen Eggleston and family, all of Pampa, Lloyd and Linda McDaniel and Michelle Chuzanka. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Eggleston; her parents, Trudy and Andrew McDaniel; her brothers, Gene McDaniel, Cleo McDaniel and James McDaniel; sister Joyce Skipwort; and sister-in-law Margie McDaniel. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday June 8, at the First Baptist Church in Big Lake with the Rev. Chris Powell and Buddy Helms officiating. Burial will be in Glen Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pee Wee Aguilar, Carl Baker, Larry Heintzelman, Jody Garber, Mike Schwatner and David Short. Mom "Mam Maw" will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Her passion and love were her family. She always had a positive outlook and was infectious with life and it radiated onto others. We will miss her dearly. We love you Mom. The family would like to thank you Rolando for the love and care you gave our Mom. She considered you one of her grandkids. Thank you again for being there for her and us. Thanks to the Intrepid Girls, Cheri Warrner, Melissa, Greta, Michelle and the rest of the personnel. Last but not least we want to thank our "Special Angels" who took wonderful care of Mom at San Angelo Community Hospital. Thank you much to the ICU and PCU units. She loved and cared for you all..

To all of the family, My prayers go out to all of you at this time. I had not seen Mrs. Eggleston in along time but when I would see her she was always very friendly and kind. I know she will be missed. God bless all of you. Margo Robin
