JIMMIE ZESCH

MASON - Jimmie Zesch of Mason passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at the age of 85. Jimmie is survived by his wife, Edith Zesch of Mason; two children, Gary Zesch and wife, Carole, of Mason and Cindy Thompson and husband, Larry, of Munday; sister, Estella Hoerster of Llano; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Zesch, Amanda Zesch and Olivia Zesch, all of Mason; five grandchildren, Roy Zesch and wife, Julie, of San Antonio, Rae Ann Martin and husband, Glenn, of Mason, Todd Thompson and wife, Kelly, Trey Thompson and wife, Ronda, and Tyler Thompson and wife, Tonya, all of Munday; and 17 great-grandchildren, Julia Ann, Jenny, Patty, Joshua and Joy Zesch, Chama, Sierra and Aspen Martin, Chace, Tori, Tyson, Kreece, Taylor, Sydney, Kendall and Madison Thompson and one on the way. Jimmie was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Mason County, to Eugene Zesch and Mathilda McDougal Zesch. On Aug. 2, 1941, he married Edith Kothmann at the Hilda United Methodist Church. Mr. Zesch was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Mason and in earlier years was very active in many civic organizations in Mason. Funeral service for Jimmie Zesch will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the First United Methodist Church in Mason. Burial will follow in the Gooch Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening, Oct. 9, at Mason Funeral Home.
