MARIA JARA

Maria Jara, 66, of San Angelo passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, in a local hospital. Mass of Christian service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart with the Rev. Maurice Voity officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Maria was born April 16, 1937, in Mundy, Texas, to Jose and Victoria Aguilar. She was a homemaker. Maria was to married Pablo Jara who preceded her in death. Maria's greatest pleasure came from being with her children and granddaughters. Maria will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Victoria; brother, Rudolfo Aguilar; and sister, Senaida Casavant. Survivors include son, Ernest Jara of San Angelo; daughter, Maria Martinez and husband, Jose, of Christoval; brothers, Raul Aguilar and wife, Amelia, Louis Aguilar and wife, Juanita, and Albert Aguilar, all of Big Spring; sisters, Rebecca Hinojos and husband, Richard, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Victoria Vance of White Settlement; granddaughters, Tori Jara and Sarah Jara; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lupe Castillo, Fernie Hinojos, Martin Flores, Ricky Casavant, Miguel Alba and Nelson Word. The family wishes to thank Dr. Flynn, Dr. Nair, Dr. Chang and the staff at Shannon Medical for all of the care they gave to Maria during her illness. Mama, words cannot describe the love we have for you. You will remain in our hearts forever. Bye for now "Sweetie" until we meet again.
