Mark Anthony Martinez , 19, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2009. A Rosary was read on Monday at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Visitation will start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church in Big Lake. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday with burial following in Glenrest Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Arnoldo Gutierrez family. Mr. Martinez was born June 1, 1989 in Big Lake. He was an employee of the City of Big Lake. Survivors include his parents, Mauro and Sylvia Martinez both of Big Lake, one brother, Matthew Joe Martinez of Big Lake and a sister, Maura Ann Morales and her husband Steve of San Angelo. Other survivors include his grandfather, Nacho Martinez and Maternal grandparents Raymond and Cecilia Arista of Crane and Cipriano Vargas of Greely, Co. and nephew Jordan Morales. Daniel Barrera, George Barrera, Jonathan Gonzales, Oscar Vargas, Steven Arista, Michael Arista, James Martinez, Andrew Salazar. Honorary co-workers of the City of Big Lake.
