MARY LU WEBB

SAN ANGELO - Mary Lu Webb, 82, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, in a local facility. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mary Lu was born on Jan. 15, 1924, to William Henry and Ruby Anna Ridings of Santa Anna, Texas. Mary Lu was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Eleanor Stinson. She worked in banking for 53 years. She began her banking career in 1941 at the First National Bank in Ballinger. Mary Lu retired from the Iraan State Bank in 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iraan for 34 years where she especially enjoyed singing in the choir and Sunday morning specials. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Anne Webb and Mike of San Angelo and Charlotte Stuard and husband Ron of Sheffield; two sisters, Glenn Board of San Angelo and Sarah Baker of Plano; four granddaughters, Karen Gothard and husband Jason of San Angelo, Melissa Hanna and husband Kurt of Iraan, Tracy Wortham of San Angelo, and Erin Thompson and husband Casey of Arlington; step-granddaughter Laurie Walker and husband Johnny of San Angelo; two great-grandchildren Makayla and Dausen; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Legend Oaks Nursing Facility and VistaCare Hospice for their love and care of our mother. Dear Stuard family, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Several years back I would run into Mrs. Webb here in San Angelo and it would delight me to visit with her.
