MINNIE WILDE Obituary
BALLINGER - Minnie Wilde, age 94, of Rowena went to be with her Lord on Friday morning, June 22, 2007. She had been a resident of Meadow Creek Nursing Center in San Angelo for the past year. She was born June 26, 1912, in Rowena to Ben L. and Hattie Pohler Willberg. She was a lifetime resident of Rowena. She married Andrew A. Wilde on Nov. 24, 1931, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. At the time of his death in 2000, they had been married 68 years. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and socializing with her family and friends. She loved making quilts for her children and grandchildren and working in her yard, carefully tending her bluebonnets. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters, Leona Book and Hattie Mae Book; a brother, Frank Willberg; and son-in-law Joe Kozelsky Jr. Survivors include her son, Carl J. Wilde, and his wife, Jeanette, of Rowena; her daughter, Janet Kozelsky Watkins, and her husband, Cliff, of Ballinger; five grandchildren, Lisa and Gerry Kasberg of Birome, Darrell and Karen Wilde of Keller, Denise and Mario Medrano of Rowena, Tim and Cherie Kozelsky of San Antonio, and Darren and Amy Kozelsky of Dallas; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Strube of Rowena, Rita Prosperie and her husband, Carey, of Tyler; her brother, Ben A. Willberg, and his wife, Sweetie, of Paint Rock; and sister-in-law Flora Willberg of San Angelo. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 25, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and Mass will begin at 10 a.m. with Father Bhaskar Morugudi officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Wilde, Tim Kozelsky, Darren Kozelsky, Gary Strube, Ralph Willberg and Michael Kasberg. Arrangements are under the direction of Lange Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery or a favorite charity. After Glow I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy time and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
