Robert H. Theis, 96, of San Angelo, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at a local care center.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1920, to Robert and Emma (Phers) Theis in Dublin, Texas. Robert worked as at M-Systems for many years before opening his own grocery store.
He was preceded in death by parents, his wife, Francis, a brother, Arthur Theiss, sisters, Ruth Mounce.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert E. (Charlotte) Theis, daughter, Marilyn (Colin) Charlton all of San Angelo, daughter, Rhonda (Thomas ) Collier of Deland, Florida., granddaughter, Kristie Ezell of Arizona, step granddaughter, Natalie Tillery of Austin, grandson, Tom Collier, granddaughter, Tracey Collier of Florida., brothers, Harry (Doris) Theiss and Raymond Theiss.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 at Miles Cemetery with Rev. Chester McCowen, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Marilyn, Rhonda and Robert Elton
I was saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. He was such a sweet guy, just like the rest of the Theiss siblings. I've thought of you often and reflect on the times we all had at Grandma Theiss'. I am especially relieved for him since I know he suffered the same illness as my Dad, and it is a heartbreaking disease.
Rest in that he was a believer and God has him in His hands. There's no better place to be.
