SUE MARTIN

SAN ANGELO - Sue Martin, 90, of San Angelo passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008, in a local care center. Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 23, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with O'Neal Westbrook officiating. Interment will be in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Sue was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Flakville, Ala. She was a member of Community Christian Church and Shannon Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Lee Martin. Survivors include her son, Johnny Martin and wife Shirley of Austin; three grandchildren, Torey Mees and husband Mark of Albuquerque, N.M., Todd Martin of Austin, and Taylor Martin and wife Nena of Washington D.C.; two great-grandchildren, Lauryn Zarikta and husband David and Bret Mees; one great-great-grandchild, Madison Zarikta; and one sister, Ozelle Rhodes of Hico.God's beautiful Angel Unaware, Her joy was always helping, some one else. Her days are over now and, she is safe in the arms, Of the lord she loved.God saw her getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around her, And whispered, "Come with Me."With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay.A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts To prove to us, He only takes the best.

Sue was a great neighbor to us. It was so neat having someone love me as much as her own grandchild.She will be missed and allways in my heart.I love you and will miss you deeply.
