Donna Sweatt Denny Obituary

Donna Sweatt Denny June 18, 1951 - February 7, 2026 Donna Sweatt Denny (McAnear) passed away on February 7, 2026, at her home in Graham, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. Donna was born on June 18, 1951, to Donald and Elizabeth "Betty" (Jones) McAnear. She grew up in Jacksboro and graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1969. Donna married the love of her life, Donald L. Sweatt, on January 10, 1978. Over the next 26 years, they built a home and family as well as working together in Don's law practice. Donna loved spending time with family, especially at the lake. She enjoyed playing tennis, shopping at the Galleria, and trips to the Casino. She had a talent for remodeling houses and could even turn a tiny single-bedroom garage apartment into a beautiful five-bedroom two-story home. Donna was beautiful inside and out, and there was never a dull moment while in her presence. Donna will be remembered for her generous nature and how much she loved her family.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Alison Sweatt Seaberry and husband, Will, of Graham, Marci Sweatt Stonecipher and husband, Jody, of Burkburnett, and Krissy Sweatt Grushey of Dallas; sisters, Patti Riggins and husband, Freddy, of Graham, Debbie McAnear of Graham; grandchildren, Leslye Seaberry, Emily Odom-Sharer and husband, Jesse, Collins Grushey, Hudson Denny and Levin Denny, Emery, Ashley, and Liberty Stonecipher; daughter-in-law, Amber Denny; her very dear friends, Beverly Ford, and husband, Tooter, of Graham, and Randi Allen of Frisco; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Don Sweatt; parents, Don and Betty McAnear; paternal grandparents, Lester and Martha McAnear; maternal grandparents, Peyton Smith and Polly May Cherryhomes Jones; son-in-law Bryan Odom; brother-in-law Millard Sweatt, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Sweatt Davis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.
