Mary Margaret (McCarroll) Dodd August 19, 1919 - November 3, 2025 Mary Margaret McCarroll Dodd passed away at the age of 106 years on Nov. 3, 2025 at her home in Wheeler, Texas. She was born Aug. 19, 1919 to John and Martha (Mattie) Webb McCarroll in Durant, Oklahoma. Six weeks after her birth the family moved to north Wheeler County. She "got to Texas as soon as she could." She married her high school sweetheart, Grady Dodd, on Sept. 10, 1938. They were married 54 years.

Mary Margaret was a role model for the ideal woman, wife, mother, confidante, and spiritual voice; she was an historian having walked the pathway of our nation for the last century, and a treasure, an inspiration, and a blessing to her family, friends, church, and community. A true lasting legacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, John Jr., Bill, Thearne, and Fred (Bud) McCarroll; son-in-law, John D. Foreman; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Boyd Dodd; and a nephew, Antonio Pinto Rodrigues.

Survivors include son, C. G. Dodd of Wheeler; daughters, Jacquelyn Foreman of Fairborn, Ohio, and Diane (Jack) Cody of Graham; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Dee (David) Turner of Graham, and Sabina McCarroll of Ventura, California; and nephew, Fred J (Eliose) McCarroll of Teflio Otoni, Brazil.

Services are Saturday, Nov. 8 with a family burial in the Wheeler Cemetery at 11 a.m., and a Memorial Service at the Wheeler Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Wheeler Methodist Church, Wheeler Meals on Wheels or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch.
