Orville Bryant Obituary

Orville Reese "Butch" Bryant Jr. March 11, 1952 - March 21, 2025 "Butch" Orville Reese Bryant Jr., went home to the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones at their home in Loving, Texas after a prolonged illness. He was 73 years old. Butch was born on March 11, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to Orville Reese Bryant Sr. and Nellie Christine (Merrit) Bryant.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Butch proudly served our county in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974. During his time in the service he met and married the love of his life Selette Faught in 1971 in Dallas, Texas. Together they raised their daughters Melissa and Angie. He was the successful owner of Thermal Choice Heat and Air in Mesquite, Texas for many years. Butch and Selette were members of the Calvary Baptist Church in Seagoville, Texas. Butch was an avid follower of the Lord, leading his family in faith.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Denise Bryant.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Selette Faught Bryant; daughters, Melissa Loftis and husband Jason; Angela Wheatly and husband Mitchell; grandchildren, Macie, Jenna and husband Zach, James, Kylie, and Matthew; brothers, Richard Bryant and wife Charlsa and Brett Bryant; sister-in-law, Amalie Wheat and husband Mike; along with numerous extended family and friends.

Butch will be greatly missed by his family and friends, as he waits for them to join him dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.
