David Dewayne Moore Sr.

1965 - 2026

David Dewayne Moore, Sr., 60 of the Lower Tuskeegee Community in Robbinsville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Memorial Mission in Asheville, N.C.
He was the son of the late Fred Moore and Doris Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Kary Hartmann Moore; sons, David Dwayne Moore, Jr., and Kevin Moore, (Angie Moore); daughter, Kandace Moore; brothers and their wives, Fred, Jr., and Sherry Moore, Charles and Loretta Moore, sister Abigail Moore Williams, and her husband John Williams, all of Robbinsville, N.C., and step-daughters Hannah, of Kannapolis, N.C., and Allie, of Plattsburgh, N.Y.
He has eight grandchildren and several nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews, that will miss him dearly.
Everyone that knew David knows that he was always happy, with a smile on his face. He was a constant light to those around him and a protector of everyone who knew him. He was a prankster and loved to make people laugh. He was loved and will be truly missed by many.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m., at the chapel, prior to the service.
Committal Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the Moore Family Cemetery.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home was honored to serve the Moore family.
